I missed my first Ur Quattro and sold it about 6 years ago. I found this one back in Vermont and they are shipping it out now. This one has the motor upgraded to a MC dual knock sensor versus the old CIS motor. Should be fun. Of course hands free only on the Windows Mobile phone while driving this one.

The English version of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 was Released to Manufacturing (RTM) on Monday, July 21st, 2008. Today, the Home Server team is pleased to announce the public availability of German, French and Spanish localized versions of Power Pack 1. These versions are available on the download center and can be downloaded from the following links.

Once Power Pack 1 is available via Windows Update, we will be closing the current beta program down. But that doesn't mean we don't want to hear from you!

I followed the directions and ran Vista Repair from the install disk. Vista Repair found the problem and automatically repaired the installation. The system now boots and works great. I have to admit that the Vista Repair function is very slick and maybe Vista isn't all that bad after all - for my kid.

First of all GSM coverage is sparse or non-existent in most of this ND country so her T-Mobile phone might as well be shutoff and forwarded to a CDMA provider like Sprint. She arrived in the vast nothingness and the first thing she noticed was a constant searching by her GSM phone for a network. She had been warned. She took care of that with a *21 cell number forward from T-Mo to Sprint. She turned on the Sprint Upstage and network reception pegged 5 bars and the sound of her voice was sweet. She uses a unlocked Cingular 3125 as her main phone on T-Mo. However she needed the Sprint Upstage to stay connected in North Dakota. If you really want 100% coverage in the US I think Sprint or Verizon CDMA is the ticket. Thanks to Sprint I can still talk to my wife while she is on assignment in North Dakota. It appears to have all the features I want, however, other devices like the HTC Touch are tempting. In the interim I have been using the Sprint i830w. This has been painful as I have had to replace two devices do to malfunction. I look forward to Oct 19 and the release of the i760. I have decided to touch this device before I buy it. Given the number of Windows Mobile 6 devices out there I owe that to my self and the MGN readers. My beta license will expire in the next month or so but I plan to buy the Home Server product if the price is right. I image a number of vendors will offer Home Server box's all setup and ready to go. Otherwise you will need a spare 64bit box to run the Home Server on. Barebone 64bit boxes are pretty cheap these days. Also, you run the Home Server "headless" (no screen, keyboard or mouse) so no investment in those items are needed.
