So Sean, I don't really know all the details of the 6515. What exactly are the differences between it and the 6940? The only one I noticed for sure is WM5.

Basically it goes like this for you math types:

hw6900 = hw6500 + WiFi + WM5.0 + Faster Processor (416 vs. 312) + More ROM Available (45MB vs. 12MB) - SDIO slot

Some nice changes but I have to say that the 6500 has treated me real well so far.

What's the (expected) price of this bad boy?

That is such a tough call in today's market. I would have expected the Cingular 8125 to at least be $500 and more like $600 and was blown away by the $250-300 price point. I would guess that this one would come in at the same $450-500 price point of the 6500 series but only time will tell. I think the only differentiator this device will have to Cingular users is the GPS but can you justify an all in one device for more than the price of a "better" device in the 8125 + a $150 Bluetooth GPS at a grand total of $400? I think not. I think we are seeing the beginning of a true HTC global dominance. Let the price war begin.

I think the $400 price range seems "reasonable." The faster processor, "business" look and the always available thumb-keyboard put it there for me. It seems more "substantial" than the 8125.

When the Q is released, the pricing equation will change.

FINALLY!

It's about time somebody included 802.11 built-in to a mobile device. This will do a few things:

1 - Save user's airtime/data when near a hotspot for downloading email, browsing, etc.
2 - Allow users to do the above much faster than even EV-DO
3 - Open up the possibility of VoIP on handheld devices
4 - Allow users to use a single handheld device in areas that dont allow cellular phones (but do have 802.11 networks) - hospitals come to mind

I think this new iPaq will be a winner. Now, if I can just convince the boss that I need one...

There have been quite a few PPC/Phones with built-in wifi, the 6900 series isn't the first. Agreed, it will be a good device though.

Imate k-jam, i mate jasjar, sprint and verizon 6700 (think they have it), t-mobile mda, cinuglar 8125

Yes, the 6700 does have wifi. Add the Samsung i730 to that list, and as the phone I'd recommend if you want build-in wifi. Check ou the Home Page News forum and find my comparison review of the i730 and the 700w if you want a Pros and Cons list of the i730. It really is a great, full featured device. If you want GSM the i730 isn't for you, but if you're willing to consider CDMA it is a fantastic device.

What's the (expected) price of this bad boy?

Just researched the last few days the availability of the 6910/6940. In the UK the price is about US $ 720.00, in Germany I found it for US $ 655.00 plus shipping and insurance. On Ebay some people offer it above US $ 820.00. I have runing some other requests and will report back. None of these offers are ready for delivery NOW, time frame is 3 to 6 weeks. It seems there is still some work on the ROM to be done re push email.
