Cricket just opened shop here where I live(El Paso, TX). A friend of mine asked me to find out whether or not this service was any good or not. I read some reviews, and most of them were pretty negative. One of the good reviews it got said that they use Verizons network, and they just leech off of it, which explains why their plans are so inexpensive... That sounds rather farfetched to me. Anyhoo, a lot of the bad reviews I read mentioned a terrible network(Dropped calls, roaming in areas where you should have service) and horrible customer service. I could really care less whether or not they're any good, I've got T-Mobile and am plenty happy with them. So, anyone got any info?

Well I am not sure if Cricket offers any Windows Mobile Devices so this may not be the best forum to ask. Hopefully someone has had some experience with them and can post. I will say as a Verizon user - Verizon has a great network.

I don't think they are fake they are just offering an entry level affordeable service in the market. A niche -nothing wrong with that. We have stores here in Denver, also they sell in Walmart and MediaPlay. They have strict vendor standards.
