HTC 2006
HTC is a company in Taiwan that manufactures mobile Smartphones and PocketPC devices that run the MS Windows Mobile operating system. The company has been growing by leaps and bounds in the last few years. At the end of 2005, HTC opened its first sales and marketing office outside of Asia, in Slough, UK -- and then another in Bellevue, WA USA. In the USA, HTC have a website that, after an innitial burst of energy, has sat dormant for a few months.

Here's a list of the HTC devices we are expecting in 2006: Prophet - Star Trek - Breeze - Hermes - Muse - Artemis - Trinity - Herald - Trilogy.

Here's a quick run down of specifications for new mobile devices expected from HTC in 2006

HTC Prophet - Quad-band- Edge - GPRS - Wi-Fi - Bluetooth - Irda - 2MP camera w/flash - SDIO 2.8" QVGA screen - 128MB ROM - 64 MB RAM - 200MHz OMAP processor.

HTC Star Trek - Quad-band - Edge - GPRS - Bluetooth - 1.3 MP camera w/Flash - 2.2" QVGA internal screen and 1.2" external screen - MicroSD - 64Mb or 128Mb of ROM - 64Mb RAM - Multimedia hardware buttons - 15.8mm thick.

HTC Breeze - Quad-band - UMTS - EDGE - GPRS - Bluetooth - Irda - 1.3MP camera - 2.2" QVGA screen - McroSD - 128MB ROM - 64MB RAM - 14.8mm thick.

HTC Hermes - UMTS - EDGE - GPRS - HSDPA - Bluetooth - Wi-Fi - 416Mhz Intel processor - 2MP Camera w/flash - QWERTY keyboard - one Video Cam (front) - Similar size as HTC Wizard, also side Slide QWERTY, Video Cam at top right corner in front.

HTC Muse - UMTS - GSM - EDGE - 2.4" 240x240px screen - 2MP camera - 128MB ROM - 64MB RAM - 4GB internal Flash drive - MicroSD -Bluetooth - Irda - FM radio tuner - TV out - SRS audio.

HTC Artemis - EDGE - GSM - integrated GPS - digital compass - Bluetooth - 1.3MP camera - miniSD - trackball.

HTC Trinity - UMTS - GSM - EDGE - GPRS - HSDPA - Bluetooth - Wi-Fi - A-GPS - 2.1MP camera + CIF camera.

HTC Herald
- Similar to the HTC Wizard, but thinner (only 18mm thick) - MicroSD - smaller battery

HTC Trilogy - a Digital TV & Radio Phone - 2.2in screen - 1.3MP camera - MicroSD memory card slot.

HTC is hitting it hard this year! They sure are growing fast recently. And I'm not complaining. They make some of the best devices out there.

I really think in the USA, the Smartflip / Star Trek will be a very big seller for whoever gets it. If the price is not stupidly high...
