Business Week have an article on HTC - And talk about the new Star Trek
It could be that soon HTC will loose its obscurity. The company that many MGN readers will recognize as the designer and manufacurer of some of the colest and most sought after Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs is featured in a Business Week Online article. The article mentions a few interesting facts:

Peter Chou, HTC's demanding boss and often takes the expensive step of forcing his engineers back to the drawing board to get things exactly the way he wants them. For instance, Chou sent a new handset model code-named ``Star Trek'' back to the lab repeatedly because he wasn't satisfied with its sound and video features. ``This is the fourth generation, but the first one we'll ship,'' he says. ``I killed the first three.''

It seems today HTC has 20 employees in its Seattle Office. That number is expected to double by year end. With sales doubling and profits tripling from last year, HTC seem to have a good future ahead of itself.
