This site is claiming the 2gb SD card is compatible with the MPx200:

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/7098.htm

Can anyone confirm whether the phone will recognize the full capacity of the card?

Thanks.

I think someone has tried a 2GB card with no success. One thing you could do is contact them and make sure that you get a money back guarantee on it if it doesn't work and they say it does. Then if you get it and it doesn't work, you have a way to get your money back and not just an exchange or "store" credit.

You're certain of this? Have you tried a 2GB card in a MPx200? We had a member a while ago try a 2GB card in his MPx200, and it wouldn't show up. The phone would lock up until he took it back out and put a different size card in.

It seems hit and miss depending on your the OS you have installed and the card you're using. I've seen some people post success, but even more report failure.

Well, the answer to all you of you folks.....is THE 2GB SD card WILL WORK, but wheres the catch???....the MPX200 OS, will only read up to 1000mb, or 1gb, after 1.1gb, or 1001mb, the OS will not read it anymore, so you can store things up to 2GB, but the MPx200 will only read up to 1gb, same with 3, 4, ONLY up to 1gb...

Sounds like an operating system limitation more than a hardware limitation. Please be specific when reporting if you can or can't read beyond 1GB with a MPx200.

Thanks
