Hi,

Got my 2125 last week and it's really a nice phone. However, I installed GoodLink on it and my "storage" memory is now under 1MB. Needless to say, not much room to store stuff.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what can be either deleted or moved to my mini-SD card (1GB)? I have cleared the cache in IE and that netted me about 200k.

Thanks for the help!

Its best to install no system apps on the storage card sinc it doesn't have much internal memory.

After boot-up, does the 2125 have more or less internal memory than the SMT5600?

Also, has anyone verified that it can read a 2GIG sd mini?

Just got my 2125 in yesterday and it took several attempts/resets at getting GL installed. Not a very good first impression when out of the box, it tells you that there isn't enough space. After reseting the phone, I hooked to my PC, browsed out and deleted the cingular tune (which you can't do straight from the phone) and that's over 1MB of space freed up. After that, it installed just fine. My biggest complaint about the SMT5600 was that after starting GL up, you only had about 6MB of memory (ram) left available. It seems they went overboard on the 2125 as you now have plenty of ram available, but w/ just GL installed, there's only 4.21MB of storage. With GL running and closing all apps, there is almost 17MB ram available. I also installed tweak2k .net to the miniSD card and it works fine with ver.s 1.6 and 1.7.

After getting around the GL install hurdle, the phone seems really good - so far.

You should of installed it on the Storage Card.

Yeah, I tried that - installing the initial ~176kb install file to the storage card each time, and it let me choose the location, but then it wouldn't actually save it there.

Goodlink needs to make their software so that it can be installed to a mini SD.

I had no problem installing it..........

Could you please enlighten us on how you installed Goodlink onto SD?

Wow, yes - please! If you were able to install GoodLink on the miniSD card, please let us know how! Perhaps it was because you unlocked the 2125 - both for SIM and application unlock?

Well, I don't know how I did it lol. I had it installed but I had to wipe my miniSD card because of a problem I had and now I cant get it to install back to the card.

How did you delete the Cingular Tune? I try to browse to the folder and delete it from my PC, but it won't allow me to; it's listed as read-only/write-protected/currently in use. I can't delete it directly from the phone, either. I have changed the default ring to something else; that still doesn't help.

I just can't seem to get enough memory free to install GoodLink. Seems ridiculous for a phone with so much memory.

There's also one in \Windows...check it out.

I did do the Cingular ROM update on htcamerica.net and that freed up enough space to install GoodLink.

You can't delete the one that is in the ROM.
