For the life of me, I can't get my T-mobile SDA to sync to any computers via bluetooth. I follow all the steps in Activesync's instructions, including adding an incomming port and pairing the devices. But when I try to sync, my phone says no paired devices support activesync. I've tried two different computers with two different bluetooth adapters - both winxp sp2 - and no luck. Has anyone else gotten it to work?

I assume you're using the MS Bluetooth Stack on your PC? If you double click on the BT icon in the system tray, does My Bluetooth Places or Bluetooth Devices come up? For the MS stack you can use the guide here. I had problems with the MS stack, and that guide fixed them for me.

Yeah, I got it to work, but it was quite slow and I don't really recommend it.

If you enable the bluetooth on your computer, then create a COM port in the control panel, and make sure that discovery is turned on, your SDA should be able to detect it. After you tell it to connect to the computer under the bluetooth settings on your SDA (you'll need to set up a passkey; blanks don't work) your computer should ask for confirmation. You then need to go to the options on activesync on your computer and make sure that you allow for a connection on the bluetooth COM channel. FInally, you have to open activesync manually on the SDA, and it should pick up the connection after a few seconds.

If that doesn't help, try posting exactly what you did and I'll check with my notes. Like I said though, bluetooth works real slow -- I'd recommend just using the bloody cable (which charges it too).
